Inflorescence mostly secund like S. uliginosa but with sparsely puberulent stem and weakly clasping petiole bases. Growing with both species intermixed on a gradient between boggy lake edge and more upland old trail clearing

ID is uncertain vs. V. dentatum (s.st.). A surprising discovery at this location - ~250 km away from the native range, well off in the woods away from any settlement and unlikely to be planted. Most likely bird-dispersed from a planted individual in the region, but maybe a chance long-distance dispersal.
