Gentiana affinis growing in Jeffery Pine understory along the Rubicon trail on the north side of Emerald Bay, Emerald Bay State Park, El Dorado County, California. Stems terminating in a cluster of flowers each with a pleated corolla tube distinguish this species from Gentiana calycosa with its solitary terminal flower.
