According to the Pacific Bulb Society: 'This genus is considered a taxonomic mess'. Nonetheless, this species has been recorded in nearby Lady Grey, as well as Tiffindell and Naude's Neck. Surface protrusions seem variable.
Specimens seem to be harder to find in recent times - and almost completely absent from known colonies in local areas this year. Hugely popular in the far East, so some illegal collecting might be behind this....?
