Esta pequeña Salamandrá (Isthmura bellii) fue colectada por Mariela Abarca e identificada por Romel González. La importancia de encontrarla en el medio silvestre en un bosque de Pino-Encino es muy importante en terminos de conservación, ya que estas especies se encuentran en la lista roja en el libro de las especies amenazadas. No conozco otro registro para la zona, por ello se reporta en esta sección.

Footprints found in a very muddy area of the creekbed. Water just recently dried up and these tracks are about as old as when the puddle dried up. I'm glad and disappointed I found these tracks. Glad because I found out they are in the park and disappointed because I didn't find any.

Redo of a newt observation that I inadvertantly deleted while trying to adjust geoloc tag. Moved it but the original remained. Deleted the new (on Vashon Hwy shoulder) and then both were deleted.
