3 small cups on a Sugar Maple - Acer saccharum leaf. Cups were with a short stipe, 1.5-2mm in diameter. Margin with brownish hairs.
Asci 8-spored, IKI+bb, croziers(+), 82 - 98 x 9.5 - 10.8 um.
Ascospores ciboroid, slightly bent, guttulate, smooth, hyaline, measured
*(12.5) 12.6 - 13.8 (15.3) × (4.6) 4.7 - 5.2 (5.3) µm
Q = (2.4) 2.5 - 2.8 (3) ; N = 23
Me = 13.2 × 4.9 µm ; Qe = 2.7
Paraphyses cylindrical with long VBs the same as at the margin.
It was abundance of yellow cups of Hymenoscyphus around, but this looks different from them.
