I spotted a circling Black Stork and then noticed the (newly resident) Black Harrier moving swiftly towards it. I thought there might be an argument of sorts, but instead the pair shared a thermal for about 5 minutes before the stork took off towards the mountains.

Could it be?
This sign were on a forest trail near a plantation. It could not have been humans, as the tree was off the trail. It was unlikely to have wind in the forest understory. There is only animal in the Knysna Forest that could have caused that tree to snap. Given the evidence and the addition signs in the area, it was most likely one of the Knysna Elephants

Very large droppings, containing a large amount of undigested plant material. The pile still had a vestige of warmth. The road was strewn with small broken branches for several meters. My hiking pole is 1.01m long.
