Doesn't quite match Transverse, not in the PNW Insects book, iNat doesn't have any good suggestions. I looked at all 12 north american species of Coccinella on Bug Guide and none look right. Is this some transitional/immature state of a Coccinella species, or is this in a different genus?
Spotted roadside at Chinook Pass, about 5500 feet above sea level, on Pearly everlasting.
Iliamna rivularis cultivated, in native garden. Bee is circling inside flower and totally covered in pollen.
Settled down for the night, clinging to spruce needle with only its mandibles.
On Astragalus. Additional photos are available, but may not be the same individual.
Feeding on Ribes aureum.
