Quite a ggod-sized brown bat that was flying around for an hour or more, catching insects over my yard from 4:30 to 5:30 in the afternoon. It kept going to a pine tree every so often - possibly that is a roost? It few fast and strongly and occasionally left and went under the bridge over the river beside my house.
