The Kimberley Sandstone Dragon is restricted to the far north-west, high rainfall, sandstone plateaus of the Kimberley. This one is from Mitchell Plateau where they are commonly seen basking on rocks in a variety of habitats, especially near creeklines.

Photographed on the eastern side of Uluru-Kata Tjuta NP, which I thought was outside of the range for Westerns, but I guess not. I saw another within about a mile of this one also in the road, but it had been killed (nearly severed in two) by a passing vehicle.

One of the rarest, if not the rarest, frogs in the United States. These two individuals were found at a site where the Arizona Game and Fish Department had reintroduced the species about two years earlier. However, it was thought that the reintroduction might have failed, because three surveys since then had not turned up any Tarahumara Frogs. This was the first known sighting of the species here since the release nearly two years earlier. Also entered in HerpMapper.org.

Found the species active at night feeding on mulberry fruits and Nostoc (cyanobacteria) thallus...

Note the unusual black and white coloration of the "ready to shed" snake (dull eyes, second picture) it seems that the unusual color is not a result of the shedding process, if you compare it with the already shedding individual in picture 3.

Please ignore my irresponsible behavior and don't touch seesnakes, even if they are docile and phlegmatic they are potentially fatal dangerous with one of the most toxic snake venoms!!!
