Note: I have photographed this Hexatomini at Cedar Bog in Champaign County, Ohio for at least 17 years. Always in the same area.

I found this site in 2020 but with this year's drought, there is a lot more exposed lakeshore and the plant (S! in MO) occurs in the millions of flowering and fruiting culms- only extant site in MO. It is the only sedge in MO that has white margins on the scales. Thus, the old name- Cyperus albomarginatus is more descriptive

The ID here is based on the AI suggestion an that I could find a a couple similar individuals in BugGuide of this species, but not of any other. This does not preclude it from being from another genus, though.
