Animal dropping. Approximately 2 cm long. All had this kidney shap.
3 inches long, 1 1/2 inches wide, deep tracks in the snow
footprints/tracks in the mud. Foot provides scale
Definite grouse scats to the left on (likely drumming) log, but some comparatively large scats to right. They almost seem too large and oddly shaped for grouse, but they are not a great fit for turkey either, which is likely the only other possibility.
Beautiful clear prints. Note claws and print on toe 1. Fur is present in tracks as well.
Does anyone know what type of tracks these are?
this one is weird to me. it seems large and has a drag like a dog would but there were no coinciding human tracks. this was during a bad storm and across a lawn, very close to the porch, so it would be weird for a person to walk their dog that close to the house anyways. maybe it is a dog but if so, i have to question why and if this dog was loose.
