cocoon collected Early April. I cut it open and the larva was still inside. It did not pupate until 5/21/2021!!! appears to have overwintered as a larva within the cocoon. (photo from May 4th of larva included)

1 of 31. I opened them with a swiss army knife:
15 empty
13 parasitized
3 cats: 1 parasitized 2 not. Unfortunately I killed one of the unparasitized caterpillars when I knicked it with the swiss army knife and it bled yellow.

location is site of collection. the larva was still moving on 3/17 when I left for vacation. When I came back on 2/21 the larva was shriveled and black and the pupa was present in the container
