Sorry don’t know which sub-species yet
Location of sighting: McNamee Road, approx. 3 km. north of Kirkfield, City of Kawartha Lakes, Ontario, on the side of the Road.
Photos are attached.
Both animals were in excellent condition, so I am not sure they are "wild boars", however they were in an area where there are very few farms, and there were no fences enclosing them.
There were 7 in total, perfect mixed group including a pink and a spotted and several brown.
Hi there. I believe I saw four wild boar on Crow Lake road north of Kingston. I do have a picture if that helps. It’s a rural country road. They were walking along the side of the road. The vegetation was forest with no farm or fences around.
It was July 29. Around 1 pm ish. Crow lake road, heading from sharbot lake to Westport. Half way down the road before Bolingbroke. There was road work going on a few minutes down the road after we spotted them.
Nests. Herons have been seen nesting previously. Observed during the 2019 QE2 Bioblitz. Location is approximate.
