Observed a few plants and bugs in the backyard this evening before the cold front comes through!
Went over to the Stratford Park section of Tandy Hills -- spotted quite a few bugs and some other neat stuff. Took a water sample to look for some microbes as well! :)
Had a wonderful morning with folks documenting biodiversity in bioswales at Running Bear Park in Irving. These bioswales are great for plants, bugs, and everything that eats these!!! Spotted loads of stuff here, despite the drizzling rain and overcast skies (which reduced some of the bug activity).
Woo hoo!!! I got to hang out at Carrie's place -- a mecca of biodiversity in urban Washington DC!
Elizabeth and I went on a long road trip to Philadelphia! We made a whole slew of stops along the way too. :)
We stayed at a place just outside of Vicksburg, and I put up the black-lights!

To celebrate my birthday, I went outside and explored this AMAZING park in Castroville -- wow, such a cool place! The nature trail up on the hill was especially unique. Definitely going to have to come back again. :)
My sister and I went to "Yellow Lake" -- had a nice walk in the desert but didn't get to see the 'lake.' No matter -- we spotted awesome stuff along the way!

What a wonderful morning in Carrollton! I was asked by the city to do a wildlife assessment at this park north of this lake, and there was a tremendous amount of biodiversity here!
