Moving down hill, down in the frame, with the hind foot registering on front tracks.
Lizard. T5 drag. Going towards the top of the frame.
Tracks. Only Tip of its toes register. One T5 drag visible left of the 2” mark.
Knife = 10 cm (4 in). Raccoon tracks also for scale. A swimming and walking trail of a single individual. Quite small. Tree frogs are abundant and active here now. Only other frog species we have documented here are African clawed frog and bullfrog. We have not documented toads at this location, despite year-round tracking here. @richard26 @herptracker

Looks like it was pinned to this creosote bush and half-eaten by a loggerhead shrike! So cool!! Last year I saw several grasshoppers pinned to creosote bushes in one area while walking. This is my first time seeing a lizard pinned to a creosote bush.
This observation is intended for the bird: loggerhead shrike, the prey, pinning this lizard to a creosote bush
