Red color. There are long leaves are the bottom and long stems at the top.
Apologies for picture quality. Happened very fast, falcon, flushed, several flocks of doves out of an open orchard. Did not see the head clearly. Has rough banding and modeled/speckled underwings and chest. Believe it is a Prairie falcon based on environment and appearance. Not 100% though. Edit: it’s a PEFA based on visible dark mask in photos
About 1.5-2 in SVL, and a wonderful addition to a fossil hike.
