This deuterostome was found in an urban area with a warm climate and its body is gray all over except for its prominent red head. It has thin, long limbs and is about 3 feet 11 inches in height. It’s neck, like most long-limbed birds, is very long and curves when it bends down to eat.

This deuterostome was found in an urban area in a climate that was quite warm and it has mostly brown fur and white belly fur that extends from its neck to its legs. As far as size, it’s limbs are very small and stubby, and it has a head the size of a Brussel sprout. It’s body alone is around 8 inches and with its tail it’s about 13 inches total.

These protostomes were hard to capture because of the swift and erratic nature of their small bodies so the pictures may’ve come out blurry. The ants may seem to appear black but up close their bodies are dark red with black bottoms. They were found near a pond which felt like quite a humid area.

This is a type of fungi that was found on a fallen branch in a humid environment within an urban area. It has a green tint and shape that is very similar to the common greenshield lichen which has led me to believe they are a match. Another observation was that the lichen was about 2.5 inches long in length and has a texture that can be described as flaky.

These are umbrella paper wasps, which are protostomes that have black bodies with yellow stripes. They were found in an urban area on a cultivated plant but have built their own nest on said plant. These wasps are also no larger or smaller than the average wasp.

This fern was found on the edge of a forest that has a pond right next to it. The surrounding environment was a bit moist and the weather was quite hot. The fern itself has small ridges on each of its leaves. It is a uniform color of green and there are no discolorations. The fern was about 12-16 inches long and was surrounded by many other ferns.

This moss was found on a tree stump by a pond, so the area was damp and there was some moisture along the base of the tree as well. The moss appears mostly a mint green and is dark green in other spots. The patch of moss was about 6-8 inches long and appeared fuzzy in texture.

This was found by an entrance of a forest, and the weather was mostly humid and hot. There was a pond near the entrance of the forest as well so the soil and grass were damp. The flower has one white, uniform, circular shaped petal and in the middle it contains a cluster of what seems to be seeds or it’s reproductive organs. It also has a distinct starfish outline with a pink center.
