Plant had a basal arrangement. Each frond was over 3 meters long, and was pinnate you multiple levels. Leaflet margin was entire. Leaflets were oblong shaped with very short petioles. Leaflet midrib was distinctly raised, with many veins in either aide or midrib. Underside of leaflet was the same color as the top.

Underside of the leaf was a similar color and texture as the top. Some leaf debris was caught at the base of the plant where it attached to its host tree.

Animal was a moth observed in the afternoon. Animal was observed to have a furry, black body, with four wings. Front wings were black, with a wide orange band close to the body and a smaller white band closer to wingtips. Back wings had a large orange band. The edges of all four wings had a thin white boarder.

Leaf underside was lighter than the top. Stem was squarish. Flowers were white, with five petals each. Each flower had a long tube at the base, between 2 and 3 cm. Flower had 4 purple-colored stamen that were very long. Flower buds were purple.

Observed plant was a climber. Leaves alternate and complex, with a 12-15 leaflets per leaf. Leaflets were alternate and oblong=shaped. Underside of leaf was not significantly darker than top of leaf. Leaves are sweet and bitter when chewed. Fruits were small and red, with a black dot at the center. Fruits were enclosed in a crispy brown husk.

Plant was a vine growing up the side of a tree in the rainforest understory. Leaves were simple and alternate. Both the plant stalk and petiole were tinged red. Stipules present. Leaf showed multiple veins, but not margin veins. Leaf had an entire margin and came to a point at the end. Leaf underside was significantly lighter than top of the leaf. These leaves appeared to be young, and not fully developed to typical shape.
