Descripción

This is a six legged insect with small wings and two antennae. This insect is also bright red. Based off the conditions in which it was found, it is hard to know if this insect is involved in any symbiotic relationships, or what it's predators are. Most insects eat producers, but it is possible that this insect also eats smaller bugs. It's bright red color could indicate that it is not attempting to camouflage and could instead be signaling to predators that it is poisonous. This insect is about 0.5 inches long.

Descripción

This plant is in an area of high concentration, it is covering the ground over about 2 square yards. The flower of this plant is pink, likely to attract pollinators or other animals in order to spread it's seed. Each plant has about 20 leaves, and each flower has about 20 individual blossoms. The plant is in a shaded area so it gets some sunlight but not a lot, and the green color of the leaves indicates that this plant photosynthesizes. There are also a few bees around the flowers which means they are popular sources of pollen! Each plant is about 11 inches tall.
