I saw this giant weta at 07:30am while it was out in the open feeding. I was doing some bird and mammal monitoring in the area. The altitude was about 1700m. The first picture I took while it was feeding (the most distant picture), another picture is with a pencil for scale and to show it's body a little more closely, and the last picture is a profile head-shot.

Hi,
I found this scorpion deep inside a cave on the island of Santo, Vanuatu. It was so far into the cave that it was pitch black to the human eye. It was on the cave wall and I nearly put my hand on it, as I used the wall for balance when stepping over slippery rocks in the cave's stream. I was very surprised to find a scorpion so far into a dark and slippery cave. Any idea what the species is?

Hi,
I found this Ground Beetle (not sure of species) with many smaller creatures on its back and underneath it. Are these creatures its young or parasites? It was also walking around in the daytime, which seemed odd.
