This was a cool video I got of a wasp that flew down with a green worm and started eating it. It was on USF campus at about 3pm near FAH. The wasp was big and thin, maybe 2in.

I think this species is a watersnake. It was found at Peacock Springs in Florida. It was out in the sun near the end the of the spring and it had come out from under the rocks. It is hard to tell how long it was but the rock it is laying on is about 2ft long for scale. The snake is brown with black banding and a thick body.

This alligator was spotted at a preserve area near Hunter’s Green in Tampa, FL. It was sitting in the sun along the bank of a pond at about 2pm. It was approximately 4-5ft long.

This heron was found near a wetland area in Lake-Leto, Tampa, Florida. It was walking about 20 ft. From the edge of a pond. It was blue-grey in color and about 1.5 ft tall. It was in a shaded area and the ground was moist.

This orbweaver was found at O’leno State Park on October 5th, 2019 around 1:45pm. It was between two trees at a break in the trail where it was very sunny and near an open field. It was about 5in long and made its web about 6-7ft high.

This bracket fungi was found on a trail at O’leno State Park at around 2pm on October 5th, 2019. The trail was along a river and alternated between wet and dry areas. This was in a pine-y area with pine needles around. The fungi went about 5-6 feet up the tree from the ground and a few caps were found along the ground as well.

Saw palmetto (angiosperm) found in a wetland area in Leto, Florida around 5pm on 10/3/2019. The weather was sunny. The plant was found in the shade about 20ft from water's edge. The frond on the palmetto is green, hard and the leaves and fan out. The branches grow and twist along the ground. The whole system was approx 6ft x 4ft.

Single fern leaf growing next to other ferns in wetland soil near a lake in Leto, Florida. Picture was taken at 5pm on 10/3/2019. The fern was in the shade. Leaves are dark green and bi-pinnate. Whole frond was approx 1.5ft. The sori are visible on the underside of the leaves.

Octoblepharum moss found on the base of a tree by a lake in Leto, Florida on 10/3/2019. It was sunny at about 5pm. The moss was in the shade. Identified by light green/blue color leaves that stem out in a flowering pattern. The whole "flower" is about 1/3rd of an inch. Occurs in small patches on tree bark, this patch was about 8in.
