A skink basking in our wheeelbarrow this afternoon. Looks pregnant. Have not seen lizards at our house before.

On banks of Fleming River, in the Forest And Bird Lenz Reserve, Tautuku. The Karearea had just caught a male mallared and was in the process of eating it.

Yellow admiral sunning itself on the dry grass.

Hoverfly along with bumble bee, yellow admiral butterfly, tui and bellbird, and many other small insects feeding on the flowers of hoheria, lacebark, flowers.

Red admirals and german wasps getting something tasty from the trunk of a cabbage tree. What are they eating ???

I am presuming a type of orbweb spider which were found in what looks like a wasp nest.
