If it can totally engulf 20ft trees up to their canopy, then imagine what it does to young trees. Native deciduous trees that help stabilize the creek bank such as willows and alders are especially susceptible.

I was able to remove this individual ivy from the redcedar. Decided to leave the ivy growing deeper in the bushes alone because (1) salmon habitat no trespassing signs (2) right in watchful neighbors vicinity (3) thought a guy wearing all black in the woods would look suspicious
