Unfortunately I did not manage to get a clear observation photo. I am clear that it was a Eurasian black bird. These birds were sighted all around my property, on grass areas, in pines where it was woody and in particular around the citrus trees where fruit is present and most likely other prey such as small insects

A row of >10m pine trees is the habitat that was provided for the fantails I sighted. Although no fruit was being eaten the birds were visualised flying and resting on branches of the pine

I observed one individual fantail. The fantail was active around pine trees. The fantail would fly from branch to branch on different pine trees before resting on a branch then resuming its flying and and chirping noises. Something interesting I noticed was the bird flew after a month before catching and eating it in the air.

Today only 1 butterfly was sighted within 10m. The factor that may have affected this is the wind as every other factor was the same as the first observation where 8 sightings were made, except the wind was stronger today. The butterfly tended to land on the purple flowers in the garden to rest and feed

All butterflies I observed in the 20 mins were Garden Whites. They tended to visit the plants and flowers alone, however there was a case where two individuals arrived together, visited the same flowers together, and flew away together, possibly meaning they were mates. Most commonly visited the clover flowers and rested and the leaves of the clovers. There were 4 sightings of the Garden Whites beyond 10m and their activity was either flying or visiting other plants further away. Although I saw 8 sightings within the 10m at different times during my 20min watch, I believe some of these sightings would have been of the same individuals just returning at different times. Yesterday was very heavy rain and cold temperatures so I think that is a factor for the high activity of butterflies today as they would not have been active yesterday in unfavourable conditions
