Possibly first instar, no sign of wing buds. Three individuals feeding on a single leaf of a small domestic fig Ficus carica. About 8.5-9 mm long. The orange scat produced by one of them is visible in some photos. All released onto the grapevine rather than the few leaved fig.

Labellum lateral appendages present. Fine red appendages partly visible in some photos.
Base of Hypanthium and some of pedicle visible above top rosette of leaves photo, 4,not usual for S. Perula.
hypanthium sparsely pilose not glandular hairy. Often confused with S. repens looks like a number of species superficially. Member of the locket trigger plants

Nuytsia floribunda, West australian Christmas tree, Fruit. There are three sides to fruit and when fruit falls there is three calyx lobes left each with a triangular shape and they can be wide or shrivelled narrow.

The phyllodes seen here as curved, are not always curved but they are continuous with the stem, there is not dividing sinus between stem and phyllode. The number of flowers per head equals the number of buds in the head - useful when you are checking descriptions.
