Tiny, low lying ground cover that is growing in a disturbed area (campground). It's growing in hard dry dirt at the edge of a dirt parking lot/ca.pgrpund. It's growing in an area with a lot of chaparral but isn't far from a seasonal creek. It's growing in the open a little ways from the hedge line and near an oak tree which probably offers some shade throughout the day. Stems are red. Leaves are tiny and round and grow all around the stem in a whorled pattern. It currently has tiny purple/pink flowers with 4 petals. Smells distinctly minty when I walk on it, that's what initially drew my attention.

I've been sleeping with the windows open the last couple of nights and suddenly there are 3 or 4 of these large moths fluttering around the house.
