Alas, was hoping to find a Forest Yellowjacket in my archives, but don't think this is it.

This image was actually taken of a White-dotted Prominent moth that was flying and struggling on and near the ground, which I assumed might be injured, ill or at the end of life. Only after carefully looking at my photos later did I happen to notice something near the end of the moth - a Yellowjacket appearing to be stinging it. The moth seemed to get away, move to a branch nearby, and the erratic behavior seemed to end. Had I realized at the time that a Yellowjacket had attempted to or been successful in stinging it, I certainly would have observed it a bit longer to see if it was showing signs of recovery or envenomation.
