Descripción

Adult wild-caught female of Phoneutria boliviensis, showing a bit of the ALE section. Left fron-leg was already severed when captured. Also note, that the spider shows some rubbed of hairs, a condition sometimes found in wild specimen, but not in captive raised ones (aside from very old specimen in captivity, which may loose hairs due to old age).

Descripción

Adult female, approx. 4-5 cm leg span, primarily ground dweller, climbing occured but was rare. Remarkingly defensive, was very quick to give a threat posture, only other ctenids i've seen that were so defensive were Phoneutria ssp., which this one clearly is not.
