The tracking tunnel was placed within the garden space, as this was the most likely space to find mammals, as opposed to the open grass area. Each night it was baited with a spoonful of smooth peanut butter. After each night, the tracking card was removed from the tunnel to observe what mammal species had used the tunnel. After the first night, (as shown by photo one), the tunnel was not used and the peanut butter remained. After the second night,(shown by photo 2) hedgehog tracks were recorded. After the third night, (shown by photo 3) much more activity was recorded, with seemingly more than one hedgehog using the tunnel this night.
During this three day period, no cats or dogs were observed.

Within the 5 minute period, only a few starlings were observed, but after this time a larger number began to use the space, sitting on the rooftop.

7 Boulder Butterfly Lycaena boldenarum) were observed within the 20 minute sampling period. These were seen flying and resting over the dry grassland and over the gravel paths. No host plants were observed in immediate area.
Many small white and brown moths were observed at the same location.
This 20 minute interval was co-observed with Todd Graham.
