Descripción

Gregarious and scattered stalked sporangia 1.5-1.8 mm high. Sporotheca globose to sub-globose and umbilicate at the base where the stalk attaches, 1.1-1.6 mm diameter.
Iridescent peridium with golden and copper colours remains intact in some sporangia; dehiscence irregular.
Collected from a very large well decayed eucalypt stump.

Descripción

Crowded sessile bright yellow 1 mm diameter sporangia on dead fern.
The 10-12 micron diameter spores have a broken reticulate pattern. The elaters have spirals with occasional spines and striations between the spirals.

I first noticed flowers of Thismia rodwayi on 4 November. When this photo was taken those flowers had dried out and more fresh flowers had appeared. We found approximately 20 flowers in the area.
