Photos taken by husband after seeing two deer bounding up the hill. They were followed by something low, walking instead of running. Turns out it was a scrappy little coyote.

This little bee has decided that the deck is their territory. They hover in the middle chasing off other bees but otherwise being chill. I love them.

I had a very hard time getting a good look at this one. Originally spotted at the very top of a tulip poplar singing a long and very complex song. Eventually flew across the field and had a chat with a robin. Approximately the same size as the robin. I believe it's a brown thrasher, but it was spending a lot of time in the tops of trees, being discreet, rather than the forest floor. Audio file has a lot of other bird songs on it, but the central one is the seemingly endless rarely repeating one that I recorded from this individual.
