filamentous algae collected by plankton net in top 15 feet of water column. faint cell divisions. No akinetes or heterocytes visible in multiple specimens. lacking organelles, in straight filament, no heterocysts visible, cells longer than wide with no visible constriction, solitary filaments, no crosswall constriction visible. some pigment appears red under microscope. 1 image at 100X, other 3 are at 400X. rounded terminal ends. Some specimens had less chlorophyll towards the ends of the filament.
