Took off as soon as I took a picture. Fully white head, unmistakable adult. Multiple places nearby to fish, but I think it may have been eating a nearby roadkilled opossum.

Fruit taken off of a dead limb. The limb fell within the last couple of months. Not sure what tree it came from, but it was a fairly large branch.

Some sort of beetle larva, perhaps Dicaelus? Very sporadic movement, especially the head. Large ?pincers? on the lower abdomen that are difficult to see in some pictures. Six distinct legs, so not a centipede.

These are older specimens, I spotted them a few weeks earlier when they were lighter in color, but I didn't take pictures then. They are growing on a dead eastern hemlock tree (Tsuga canadensis) in a hemlock grove.
