Active birder for rare species protection and conservation. While birding, I am curious about nearby non-avian creatures and vegetation. Part of the Lynnfield Marsh Survey team of Brookline Bird Club to count and observe Rusty Blackbirds now in population decline in North America. Lynnfield Marsh is the largest spring migration stopover for Rusty Blackbirds in the northeast, before they head to the boreal forest in breeding season. We also do bird census at Lynnfield Marsh in all seasons, and have documented Long-eared Owl, Blue-winged Teal, King Rail, Least Bittern, American Bittern, Sora, Marsh Wren, Northern Harrier in winter, many shorebird species, and others. Also a member of the Lynnfield Conservation Commission.
