I am a naturalist. From a young age, I have enjoyed learning about my surroundings. Ever since I borrowed my father’s camera as a teenager, I have been photographing all things wild. I was a research assistant in the field of wildlife and natural resource management for many years. I photographed and identified native plants of the Edwards Plateau and South Texas Plains for a website to be used by local growers, ranchers and nature enthusiasts for about 10 years. While I enjoy native plants, my heart truly belongs to wildlife, such as mammals, birds, reptiles and insects. I consider myself a jack-of-all-trades and a master of none and I am always learning. I appreciate iNaturalist, and those that help identify my images, for giving me the opportunity to increase my knowledge.
