I am an arachnologist and taxonomist, with a primary focus on studying the distribution and taxonomy of spiders in the Middle East and Central Asia. I earned my B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Animal Biology and Animal Biosystematics, respectively, from the University of Tehran, and later completed my Ph.D. in Biodiversity Research at the University of Turku.
Throughout my career, I have had the opportunity to describe over 180 new species of spiders, amblypygids, harvestmen, and pseudoscorpions from various countries in the Middle East and Central Asia.
