B.S. in Wildlife Biology (Kansas State University, 2000), M.S. in Biology (Minnesota State University, Mankato, 2007 - river otter ecology), and currently a Ph.D. candidate in Ecology (Colorado State University - reptile ecology in the Great Plains). Wildlife Ecologist currently working for federal gov't, for 4 years in southern Arizona and now covering the Midwest based in eastern Nebraska. Still (happily) learning a lot and do not consider myself an expert on most taxa! For more info. please check out my dissertation project website: www.reptilemonitor.org
Tiger beetles, horned lizards, and roadrunners are my favorite taxa!
I'm a huge fan of using in situ voucher photos rather than capturing/handling/collecting - citizen and professional sciences should move away from invasive/destructive methods of sampling whenever/wherever possible.
Also excited about photographing nature... see www.dannymartinphotography.com if interested.
