Since 1994 I have been a scuba diver, and my advanced certification in 2006 included fish identification.
Since 2008 I have volunteered for the USFWS for the California Condor Recovery Program as a nest monitor.
In 2016 I received a California Naturalist certification.
In 2017 I received a Track & Sign Level 1 certification.
In 2018 I received a Track & Sign Level 3 certification.
