I'm a Canadian Master's student at the University of Western Ontario. My research evaluates the foraging niches of Lake Huron's salmon and trout through the use of visual ID, genetic sequencing, and stable isotope analysis of the stomach contents.
Recently, most of my free time has been spent birding. However, I'm still an amateur and am hoping to improve my ID skills, particularly for the North American shorebirds. I'm also hoping to extend beyond the realms of fishes and birds to build up a fundamental knowledge of local flora and fauna.
