Just a plain jane citizen observer, interested in learning more about what lives around me. Please comment in any way appropriate, I welcome all discussions if you can withstand my poor grammar and lack of formal education. I live just upriver from Ottawa on the Chats Lake section of the Ottawa River. We used to be a large forestry area but the mill closed. The rail line was taken out to make a trail, lots of development in the area recently, tree cutting and disturbed earth. I post what I see and go from there.
