I am an educator and naturalist. Plants are my favorite and are some of the easiest to photograph (they don't move). Once I start "picking favorites" for alive things though, I quickly realize curiosity wins in general.
Most of my plant ID experience comes from being outside, paying attention, and practicing--in Minnesota prairies, on the North Shore of Lake Superior, in the Colorado Rocky Mountains, New England, and now in the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem.
