Hi there! I'm the Education Coordinator for the Biodiversity Education Center at Coppell Nature Park. BEC works collectively with partner organizations to offer environmental education programs to the community. Coppell Nature Park is a great educational resource that features 66 acres and 2 miles of trail through Cross Timbers Forest, Blackland Prairie, and riparian ecosystems. I have an bachelors degree in environmental conservation and a masters degree in teaching. I enjoy experiencing and learning about nature, and neither of these is complete without sharing it with others. iNaturalist is one avenue of sharing, and though I am generally technologically challenged, I use the application to the best of my ability. I'm also active with the Texas Master Naturalist program as a way to serve, learn and share ideas. Previous to my current occupation, I taught high school science and served as an international Christian missionary.
