I love animals. PhD in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology from Princeton University and studied forest living elephants in Kenya’s coastal Shimba Hills Forest. I set up the Colobus Trust and built bridges to enable this spectacular monkey to cross a busy highway saving hundreds of them from becoming road kills. I'm now the CEO of WildlifeDirect – we connect people to nature so that they will act to save it. We fight wildlife crime by tracking trials in Kenyan courts (Eyes in the Court), make wildlife Documentaries for African audiences, and we write books, and engage teachers and chidrens thorough our powerful Wildlife Warriors program in schools across Kenya. We want every fourth grader to go to the national parks - and each school to create an iNaturalist account as one citizen science approach to creating meaningful opportunties for people to engage.
