I'm an amateur naturalist who's enjoying learning through putting a name to the organisms I see around me. It was the diversity of birds which first caught my attention, but since joining iNaturalist, I've developed an appreciation for spiders, chironomids, bees, wasps, and moths. My greatest strength is identifying birds in Eastern Oklahoma; I'm also decent at identifying small plants, spiders, and insects, but not so good at at identifying trees and fungi.

Camera info:
When I first joined iNat, I shot most of my photos using my smartphone (either by itself, or held up to 8x42 binoculars). In July 2021, I started using a Sony DSC-HX99 pocket superzoom as well as my smartphone. And in August 2022, I started using a mirrorless MFT camera with a macro lens (Olympus OM-D E-M5 Mk. II + Laowa 100mm f/2.8 2x Macro) as well, primarily to shoot spiders and insects.
