I graduated with a PhD from The University of Sydney on the systematics of Australian giant cockroaches (Blaberidae: Panesthiinae, formerly known as Geoscapheinae). Since then, I've become interested Gondwanan cave crickets (Rhaphidophoridae: Macropathinae), particularly the Australian fauna, and am seeking to expand the taxonomy and understandings of the evolutionary history of the group. 🦗🪳
Overall, I'm a lover of all things spindly (i.e., subterranean).
Outside of work I'm passionate about climate justice—particularly with respect to public transport and urban planning—as well as neurodiversity in STEMM, ecofeminism, and solarpunk media.
