I'm not a naturalist but I spend much of my time in the natural world, mostly in California. I've been to the summit of Mt Whitney and down to Badwater and all around the state's back roads, camped in cow pastures and followed deer trails, usually with a camera in hand. Birds are my main focus but I get equally excited by various mammals, herps, odes, plants, etc. I lead a few birding field trips from time to time. Every day is an adventure outside...
