I live in the United States and my wife and I also have a home in the Philippines. So you will find that my OB's vary depending on which country we are living in at the moment.

"To a person attuned to smaller creatures, there is no corner of nature not full of excitement, not rich in unsolved problems.” -Howard Ensign Evans

A photographer, citizen scientist, naturalist, birder, nature lover, organic gardener, conservationist, just to name a few...

I have always had interest in nature since I was very small, growing up in a very rural environment really helped that curiosity. As a young child, I captured and then carried bugs, frogs, worms and the like in my pockets at most times, watched them grow in jars, old aquariums etc. while being in total amazement of the things that live on the planet with us......My interest was increased when I took up photography in the 80's and my interest in bugs and smaller organisms etc.. really deepened when I introduced macro photography to my bag in the early 90's.
"I guess that I never grew out of capturing critters and being in awe of the creatures that share God's Creation with us, But...that's not a bad thing to hang onto." - t7iguy

Evil teaches tolerance until it is dominate, then it tries to silence good.

“Man is the most insane species. He worships an invisible god and destroys a visible nature, unaware that this nature he's destroying is this god he's worshiping.” ― Hubert Reeves

“I care to live only to entice people to look at Nature’s loveliness.” ― John Muir

"A river is water in its loveliest form; rivers have life and sound and movement and infinity of variation, rivers are veins of the earth through which the lifeblood returns to the heart". - Roderick Haig-Brown
