Professional geneticist, amateur birder. I am a biologist (human genetics) by trade but I love all things about the natural world. I welcome corrections and annotations to my observations! I am by no means an expert, but I try my best. My home is eastern Canada but I also love to observe as much as I can when travelling to the Caribbean and Central America. My favourite bird is a tie between the black-capped chickadee and the common loon.
