Ever since I was a child animals have fascinated me. I majored in Biology at George Mason University. I work as a research assistant (aka a Museum Specialist) and work with zoologists that study invertebrates, including marine and freshwater mollusk shells at the Smithsonian's National Museum of Natural History in Washington, DC. And just outside the city, I am also a part-time naturalist in Arlington Co.,VA and conduct nature programs. It's great-I can check out the wildlife right where I grew up! Volunteer work that I do includes macroinvertebrate stream monitoring in Arlington too!
Taking photos for documentation and for fun is equally fascinating.
