City Nature Challenge DC 2021- Anacostia Watershed Results

Kudos to everyone for a successful City Nature Challenge DC! The DC area did quite well overall, ranking third in observations, eighth in species, and second in observers out of 44 cities participating. Observations made from April 30 – May 3 were automatically included in the Anacostia Watershed as well. Here is a snapshot of the results for our area.

321 observers made 3326 observations between Friday, April 30, 2021 to Monday, May 3, 2021. Among the top five observers, @jmgconsult observed 344 examples of life in the Anacostia watershed; @ronwertz contributed 212; @dtread1 contributed 112; @onertwons contributed 109; and @carrieseltzer contributed 99. Rounding out the top contributors, @mitchgreene contributed 93; @lbyrley contributed 76; @jenwri and @mjmwx each contributed 66; and @dguerrero1999, @robpavlik, and @stella20009 each contributed 55.
